This picture is strange. What I see first is inevitably the angle of the camera. This angle shot is at the same time low and not straight, which create a sort of sensation of dizziness, or that this place doesn't quite fit in our world (a sort of matrix-like place).
I always loved these kind of pictures as they show us places that we wouldn't notice if we passed by. I like this picture because it shows us some kind of anonymous beauty.
As for the colours, i think it doesn't quite fit with the scenery. While it renders a certain impression of melancholy (sepia tones), I think the image could have been more striking if it was the tint was more green-ish.
We often see on deviantart those kind of picture. This one sets itself apart, mainly because of this weird angle. Although it's an interesting choice, the more I look at it, the more bizarre it is.
There is still something that makes me wonder, why this title ? Although it is somewhat coherent with the shot, I think something more original than the lyrics of an R-n-B singer could have been more fitting.
Overall, it's a nice picture that could deserve some improvements. Kudos for the daring artistic choice, I hope to see more pictures like these in the future !
Wow! This is an amazing shot, I really like the angle it was taken from and how it's in black and white. But take it into your photo editing one more time maybe and try to make it more "contrasty" like make the blacks darker and the whites brighter.. That would give it an amazing effect! I love the title, it really makes sense, this looks like a pretty hopeless place if you ask me. (: It's not really black and white the more I look at it it's more or less sepia.. Still either bringing one main color out like the greens or the browns would make this photo pop and something I would hang in my bedroom (:
If you don't mind my question / suggestion, have you tried viewing this one in b&w only? I'm not sure about the light green over wash... it doesn't quite register as light reflection, but rather as a photoshop effect.
